Easter Joy

What a wonderful Easter weekend we had! It started off Saturday night at mom and dad Mosier's. We enjoyed a cook out, egg hunt, egg dying and just hanging out with family! Cassie was home and had my camera for most of the day-here are a few things she captured.

Then on Sunday we enjoyed the kids' Sunday School class singing during the service! Then it was off to Mamaw's for more family, food and fun!

In my free time or what I like to call “the time when I am not pulling my hair out and all of the kids are content enough for me to get something other than laundry and dishes done” I have been planning Beckett’s 3rd birthday party! He is at the age where he KNOWS his birthday is coming up and he HATES that his friends Chloe and Jordan have birthdays a couple of weeks before his because he gets so confused!
I am having the best time planning this party and I think it will be fun for all ages!

I will give you some hints as to what his theme is:

A superhero who drives a certain mobile and has a side kick with a bird name.

)
DUH NU NU NU NU NU NU NU BATMAN!!!

which cracks us up because he has never see any of the Batman movies and has only caught a few batman cartoons on t.v. He DID watch a very old school Batman and Robin Movie that we caught on STARZ one day.

No, not this one:

This one:

He cracks up at the line "Holy Halloween, Batman!"

He occasionally throws in thet fact that he wants Spiderman too so we will see what shakes out.
All I know is that it will be fun and entertaining and I am praying for nice weather that day !
I hope to see you there! Now I am off to do laundry or dishes.

Spring Awakening

We did get an offer on our home and are now just waiting for the buyers to sell their house. It is exciting but daunting for sure! It is so hard to remember to "give it to Him" because He knows what is in the cards, even though I know that...it is hard for me to let that happen especially when I am the most impatient person in the world. The good news is that we have options and we have each other! That is all that matters. I am just praying for a quick answer and a good outcome.

In the meantime, I am focusing all of my energy on our children and the new kids that joined my little daycare group. So far it has been a positive thing. It has been a lot of work and a lot of adjustment but there is more laughing and learning than crying!

Finley Scott Mosier was born last weekend and will join us in approximately 6-8 weeks! The kids are excited to have another cousin and I am thrilled to be having a baby in the house again. The baby in the house will be 3 in a month (Beckett) and the daycare baby of the house(Chloe) is 2 this week! Where does the time go?

Oscars 2011

Rylee likes to dress up and pretend to present awards when award show are on. This time she got really into for the Oscars. We painted our nails. Red, purple and yellow. She put on a fancy dress and shoes and we drank sparking grape juice! Here are some pics of our fun filled night :)

Flat Stanley

I bought the kids the book "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown and they loved it instantly! It is about a normal boy named Stanley Lambchop who gets flattened ( but unharmed) after his bulletin board fell on top of him.
He gets to enter rooms by going under the doors, he even gets mailed to California for vacation. He is a kite for his brother, Arthur and nabs some art thieves at the Museum of Art!

Stanley's adventures left smiles on all 4 kids faces. Their imaginations were definitely hard at work!

I decided to read up on the "Flat Stanley Project" online. Instead of mailing a Flat Stanley to a pen pal, the kids wanted to make a Flat Rylee, Beckett, Kenzie and Chloe to mail out!

Flat Mackenzie and Flat Chloe will be going to see Aunt Cassie and Emma in New Jersey for a week. While there, Cassie will take them everywhere and send them back with pictures and a little letter about their adventures!

Flat Rylee and Flat Beckett are going to see Uncle Brent for a week because apparently they think a place that is 1.5 hours away is pretty adventurous! More than that, I think they know that Brent and his friends are pretty entertaining and that Flat Rylee and Flat Beckett will be anything but bored.

The kids had so much fun coloring and choosing what they wanted their flat selves to look like.

Stay tuned ....

THE FLAT 4!

Aaaaannnnnnd heeeeerrrre theeeeyyyy aaaaarrrreeee!
In no particular order:

Flat Rylee, Flat Mackenzie, Flat Chloe and Flat Beckett ready to MAIL off into the sunset! We are off to the post office to send them on their way!

Which is Which and Who is Who?

Can you guess who these Flat People are?

I'll give you a hint ...
1.) The first little lady loves dancing, drawing, books and sparkle. She's a big sister with a big love for kittens!
2.) The littlest lady in our "group" loves her Bear-Bear and can talk in sentences now! She may be little but she is usually the star of the show.
3.)The third Flat is the only boy most days but doesn't mind because he is the loudest! He loves Batman and balls too!
4.) The second Flat is quite a character! She loves to Cheer and tell knock knock jokes! She is a big sister too and takes her job very seriously.

Pajama Day

It's pajama day at Pre-school for Rylee and Mackenzie.
They have been looking forward to this day. Rylee has fussed over which pajamas she will wear, which stuffed animal and blanket she will bring. And, she requested a flashlight too because "everyone is bringing one." It made me flash forward to when she is 13 for a minute but I quickly snapped back to reality. Thank the LORD.

So, she's ready for her big day. Pillow pet, blanket, flashlight and Fancy Nancy in hand ( in lieu of her American Girl Dolls). I think they are ready to go!
What a fun day. I think I will declare every Friday a pajama day...for myself.

Kickin it Old School

Happy New year! ( two weeks late) and Happy Birthday to Brent who is 25 today!

Last week in Rylee's book bag I found a slip from Miss Marca about how Rylee will be giong to Kindergarten this year. How did that happen? How did it become 2011 and how is my baby girl 5? Ahhh! What was even more shocking was the application we got yesterday that I am to fill out to sign Baby Beckett up for Miss Marca's preschool class this fall too. It will be a bittersweet August and September. I know they are ready I just don't think I am!

Anyway, the pictures I posted above are actually drawings done by Rylee last week. Her first and favorite stuffed animal is Ella the elephant. She got her when she was still in my belly and has slept with her every night since she was born. It used to play music that would lull her to sleep in her crib but after many years and many nights her music doesn't play anymore but she is still loved and held very snuggly to Rylee every night :) She drew a picture of her the other day and I just had to frame it! Brinkley the dog is the stuffed animal that Beckett sleeps with every night and Rylee drew him for Beckett to hang up in his room too!

The other picture is of the pom-poms we made the other night. The 100th anniversary of the McLean County Tournament is coming up this weekend and the first round is played at TVHS. Rylee requested blue and gold pom-poms and we decided to make some together to cheer on Austin Schenkel and the Vikings at the game Saturday. We will try to make some in maroon and gold soon too!
